ABTA Protection Plan

ABTA PROTECTION PLAN
now including additional services such as intermediary/booking agents

In association with International Passenger Protection (IPP), ABTA now has the ABTA Protection Plan insurance available for sale by members to customers. This provides insurance protection against the financial failure of travel companies who do not provide protection under any other scheme.

This policy can be sold to clients who have been booked with a principal (such as an airline, hotel or car hire) and also tour operators, car hire brokers and accommodation agencies or brokers. For cover to be in place you must select and pay an additional premium for cover under Additional Services on the insurance bookings screen. CLICK HERE for current list of 'additional services' currently approved by IPP under this plan. If an additional services company that you use regularly is not listed then please have an official from that company contact Michelle Irvine, Lorna Dean or Josie Batten at IPP so they can be added accordingly.

All principals booked through ABTA members such as Airline, Car Hire, Train, Hotel, Car Ferry companies etc are included in the base premium and you will only be asked to select the airline name from a list provided online.

IPP has created an exclusive online facility for ABTA Members which can be accessed by clicking here.

If you have any questions about this insurance scheme, please call IPP on 0870 0850 970 and speak to Janet Franklin, Karen Walton, or Paul McLean.
